- You have the right to a prompt return to your phone call.
- You have the right to a set time for your appointment and that it will be kept.
- You have the right to a smoke free, drug free and alcohol free workforce on the premises.
- You have the right to expect a contractor who carries liability and workman’s comp insurance, and can provide proof upon request.
- You have the right to a written estimate, on the contractor’s letterhead with the company’s name and phone number. Â Included should be a detailed proposal on the scope of work, amount of preparation on all surfaces being re-finished, specific brands of materials and manufacturers documentation on products used. It should also include the amount of coats to properly cover and perform according to the manufacturer specifications.
- You have the right to a professional and skilled labor force on your project.
- You have the right to protection of your property including all furnishings, fixtures, walkways, driveways, roofs, shrubberies,lawns, and all adjacent surfaces.
- You have the right to expect knowledgeable and concise answers to your questions, and be in continual communication throughout the term of your project.
- You have the right to expect clean surfaces on interior work such as doorknobs, fixtures, windows, counters, floors, etc..
- You have the right to make changes before and during your project. You should receive a written change order outlining any extra charges or credits involved for performing these changes.
- You have the right to your contract being faithfully fulfilled
- You have the right to written warranties on all work.
